The Council of Europe promotes "2015" as theme for the Open Heritage Days

The industrial heritage and the 2015 European Industrial and Technical Heritage year have been discussed the agenda of the joint meeting of the Council of Europe and the European Union “Celebrating European Heritage Days - Local communities shaping the European dimension of Heritage” in Baku, 14-16 October.
The initiative to discuss this theme was forwarded by the Council of Europe and defended by Ismeta Dervoz: "We believe that European industrial heritage – including both its tangible and intangible components – is a building block of our shared identity in Europe as it reflects a rich historic interaction through the transfer of skills and expertise, technology and processes across national boundaries,"
